Does your journey of self growth seem everlasting?
You’re not alone.

This is a continuous journey that will empower you to finally put yourself first, test your strengths, and reveal your weaknesses in the process.
I’ve gone through my fair share of trials and errors and if we are being honest I still am. In the midst of it all I push through and ask myself the questions that make me uncomfortable, that bring me to tears, that make me mad. This has allowed me to not only respect myself but also be less critical and more understanding of my journey.
Do you feel that?
The lack of energy you have during the day.
The weight that covers your whole body like a blanket.
The tightness of your clothes on your skin now.
The extra breathes it takes to complete a simple task.
-Acknowledge your feelings
-Ask yourself why you are feeling this way
-What do you need to pour into yourself to feel like you again
-What have you forgotten
Have you ever wondered why this journey is so uncomfortable at times?
Why doesn't another's journey seem as hard as yours?
Why we’re you dealt these specific cards?
We all have these questions at some point in our journey, and that's ok!
We all sometimes wish we could jump to the end result and not go through the process, however with self growth there is no jumping, it's an everyday task.
The people you’re looking at on social media don’t show their trials and errors, they show you what you want to see, but not what you need to see.
You want to start your journey, but don’t know where to even begin?
There are a number of resources you can use, some work better than others, some require you to dig deeper and outside of your comfort zone.
Truthfully, even if you find all the resources challenging, you can still make it work, and i’ll show you how.
The Key..
Knowing that real growth takes time.
Just like a flower or a tree they need many things to help them blossom as do we!
Here are a few key steps I’ve taken to start and keep up with my journey of self growth
1. Self awareness
Ask yourself questions, not the surface ones either. The ones that will shake you and bring out the root of a lot of issues you might be having.
2. Journaling
For me writing down my thoughts helped a lot in the beginning. I was able to get all of those built up feelings out. However, if writing isn't for you try using voice to text. If technology isn't really your strong suit, I highly recommend investing in yourself and seeking a counselor to talk to.
3.Make a routine for self care
Invest in a white board to put in your room or bathroom whichever area of your space works for you. There are always ready made self care routines on the web, but go outside of what the world has already made and make a routine for you based on what you find to be self care.
4. Be honest with yourself
Learn to accept constructive criticism from yourself, because if you can’t hear the truth from yourself, hearing it from another wont be pleasant either. The thing about the truth is either you can learn from it or run from it, it’s entirely up to you.
5. Go outside your comfort zone
I do this probably twice a month. Pick something to do that normally I wouldn't even consider, plan it, and actually go through with it. Mind you all the things I chose are legal and for the benefit of my self growth :).
6. Trust yourself
Learn yourself enough to trust your choices. Love yourself enough to never doubt your worth, and what you can achieve in life no matter what the world throws at you.
7. Learn to be comfortable in silence
By far the hardest step of them all for me but the most rewarding. Learning to be alone and be completely content and happy with that. Be able to just sit in silence and listen to your surroundings, your body, and truly take in God’s creation with an open mind.
8. Have Faith
The key to all steps above is having faith! Without it being able to wake up everyday and complete each of the following things would seem impossible. Know that he doesn't give us anything we can't handle!
I hope you've enjoyed this and come back to learn and read more, until next time :)
